Website owners have got their hands full trying to look for the latest SEO tipsthat will get their sites back on the search engine map. For the past couple of years, Google changed their algorithms repeatedly as a response to user’s request for quality search results. They came up with the Panda and Penguin algorithm changes that was meant to provide users with the information they are searching for. For instance, if your keyword is “doctor”, the words physician and medical professional will be identified together with the main keyword. Using all three will tell Google that your content is all about doctors.
  2. Do not be too technical about it. The new algorithms of Google will be able to view the totality of your content to pinpoint its relevance to a user’s search.
  3. Focus on quality and not what the search engines are looking for.

These are the new SEO tips that you should live by when creating your content. Be true to the information that you will be providing your readers and Google will see just how relevant your website is.

Keyword optimization is something that you will have to learn to make your website search engine optimized. This is important if you want your website to have a high number of visits every day.

Just to give you a quick recap about SEO, it is a common Internet strategy that focuses on making a website search engine friendly. This will allow it to obtain a higher search engine position. There are several ways that you can do that but it mostly revolves around keywords.

Keyword optimization also involves keyword density. The common practice among writers is 3-5%. However, I always use keywords once every 100 words and it worked out just fine. Make sure you do not overstuff your content with keywords because search engines do not like this. They will probably ignore your content if they detect too much of the same keywords.

3. Keyword Placement
In keyword placement, there are three places that search engines usually look at: first, middle and last paragraph. Given that, place your keywords in the first sentence of these paragraphs. Distribute them in between if your content is more than 300 words.

4. Use Keyword Synonyms
Another tip that I can give you is to use synonyms. For instance, this website has a domain name of www.earnathomeph.com. It is natural that I use “earn at home” for my main keyword. If I keep using that same phrase on my content, that will not be keyword optimization. That will be keyword stuffing. Synonyms like work from home and working at home can be utilized so my website will not be charged with keyword stuffing.

5. Stay Updated
Keyword optimization also means you have to stay on top of the changes made by search engines. I highly encourage you to stay on top of this by keeping tabs on new SEO rules. Put your keywords in titles, tags, content, images, etc. Just make sure you do not stuff your content with too much keywords to avoid being penalized.

2. Content is everything. When I say content is everything, I mean it! Content will give you relevance and will also have the power to convert website visitors into loyal customers. Make sure your content is unique, informative and have keywords in the right places (first, middle and last paragraph).

3. Link yourself to relevant sites. This is one mistake that some website owners make. They think that quantity will give them a higher ranking. That may be true before, but search engines got a lot wiser now. They are looking for quality above quantity now. So make sure your links are in the right place.

4. Updates keep you alive. Search engines need to detect activity in your website. That means you have to do something new in your site every so often. This can be done by uploading a new material. It can be an image, a new article or video. Anything that will tell search engines that your website has something new. A website that has been left for a month or so will be marked as inactive by search engines.

Online writing is probably one of the most valuable jobs that you can get in the Internet domain. And I’m sure a lot of people will agree.

For the past year or so, I have been writing about different niches: from fashion to ordinary household items, to gladiator sandals and hypnosis. Name it and I’ve probably done an article about it.

Bottom line is, I can proudly say that I have never had a shortage of online jobs because I am a freelance writer.

It doesn’t take a Nobel Prize author to make it big as an online writer. All you need are great ideas and a good grasp of your chosen language – like in my case, English.

If you are considering a career in online writing, here are a few tips that I would like to give you.

1. Make your content an easy read. Leave the big words for research papers and scientific studies. You are not writing a term paper. Use simple words that can be easily understood by anyone. Remember that the Internet caters to a global market and not everyone has your language as their main dialect.

2. Adopt a casual and conversational tone in writing. This is the most engaging tone of writing that you can use. Even the more technical article will not bore anyone if you succeed in engaging your reader.

3. Go straight to the point. Internet readers have a very short attention span. You only have a few seconds to capture their interest otherwise, they will be clicking on another link.

4. Watch your grammar. A great idea is lost if it is written in a grammatically incorrect article. Polish your grammar and more people will finish reading your articles.
